Cruising without the quarantine...

Congratulations to "Chrisbails", the winner of my giveaway! Thank you to all who participated!

These are trying times, that's for sure. My family and I have been spared from the virus so far, but that doesn't mean I don't have some sort of emotional breakdown at least twice a week. I can't even imagine how hard it is for those directly impacted. My heart breaks for you.

When I turn on the news--well--that usually accounts for at least one of my breakdowns. Anyway, when this was all starting, we were shown cruise ships under quarantine, and I thought it was such a sad sight. I could remember a glorious era to cruising. It got me to thinking about an old book of mine. It was written at a time when the worst part of a cruise was having to wear the little patch behind the ear for seasickness. I mean, as a kid, I thought cruising was all about THE LOVE BOAT.

In PROMISE OF DAWN, I wanted to keep the romance of cruising alive. I bleed romantic suspense, so I had to add an element of suspense to the book. Instead of just THE LOVE BOAT...think of this book as THE LOVE BOAT meets MIAMI VICE.

So, speaking of TV series from the distant past, what are some of your favorites? Are there shows that make you smile in fond recollection? Mind you, that could be as old as last week, or a show you used to enjoy with your parents or grandparents.

In the mean time, stay strong, stay safe. We're in this together!

PROMISE OF DAWN

Hoping to put her recent car accident behind her, Jill Perry boarded the Neptune Majesty for a week-long Caribbean cruise. Brent Crenshaw was on the Neptune Majesty with the sole intention of locating the criminal blackmailing his friend.

Jill and Brent's lives intersect in a near fatal collision.

Having put Jill in danger, Brent knows that he must protect her. But when their relationship turns to passion, he is conflicted between loyalty to his friend, and his feelings for Jill.

PROMISE OF DAWN is on sale for $.99!

    1. Oh, the Love Boat - Fantasy Island back-to-back was an essential evening for my grandmother. Brings back such fond memories. She considered "Julie" from the Love Boat as part of her family.

  7. I really miss WEST WING and enjoyed HILL STREET BLUES. There was also DR. QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN, YOUNG RIDERS, and THE WILD, WILD WEST. Most of the shows we like have a bit of suspense in them. The only exception is HOME IMPROVEMENT, on of the few comedy shows we ever watched. Going back much further, the original STAR TREK was a show I never missed. We did watch LOVE BOAT many times. Now it seems such an innocent, carefree time.
