August has been a very strange month for me...

With: Carole Mortimer

Hi Everyone,

August has been a very strange month for me, one filled with personal sadness and professional happiness.

On a personal note I lost a very dear friend this month, after a long fight against illness. I spent many hours with him at the end of his life, and consider it a privilege to have done so. He was godfather to our youngest son, and an honorary grandfather to all six of our sons, and we will all miss him very much.

On the professional side the pre-order of the book published August 30th, Captured by a Gentleman (Regency Unlaced 6) hit #1 on Kindle, and remained there for two weeks. Thank you all so much for pre-ordering and loving reading this Regency Suspense series as much as I love writing it!

One of my editors told me long ago that she believed I
worked better under pressure. To prove her right, despite the sadness in my personal life this past month, I have just finished writing Challenging Gabriel (Knight Security 2). This is the third story in my Contemporary Romantic Suspense series. It is now with my copy-editor, and is available for pre-order on all ebook retail sites. It will be released on September 23rd.

I’m currently writing Pleasured by a Duke (Regency Unlaced 7)—and loving it. You met Sebastian Falkner in Captured by a Gentleman (Regency Unlaced 6) and many of you have already asked me for Sebastian’s story—including my editor, who fell in love with him in book 6. Pleasured by a Duke is also available for pre-order on all ebook retail sites, and will be released October 28th.

As always, the stories in my Regency Unlaced, Knight Security, and Alpha series are all romances with added suspense and/or danger. They are also more explicit in their language and sexual content than my other books. In other words, they’re hot, so you have been warned!
