I love May!

With: Carole Mortimer

I love May, don’t you? Not too hot but the worst of winter has passed. I have to admit to being more of a snow person than a sun-worshipper, which is a little odd because my birth sign is Leo, and we’re supposed to love the sun. Guess, in my case, someone got that wrong!

2016 is proving to be a very busy year book-wise for me. So far I’ve had a book out every month, and my publishing schedule looks as if I will have a book out every month for the rest of the year too. Not that I’m complaining—I love writing romances, contemporary and Regency, all with the added excitement of suspense in the storyline.

Pursued by the Viscount, book 4 in the Regency Unlaced Series, was released on May 27th. I have been absolutely overwhelmed by how popular this series is, constantly in the Top100 bestselling charts. I’m so pleased, because I so enjoy writing this super sexy Regency romantic suspense series.

Desired by a Lord (Regency Unlaced 5) is now available for pre-order and will be released on July 22nd. Captured by a Gentleman (Regency Unlaced 6) will be available for pre-order soon, with a release date of August 31st. There will be more books in this series before the end of 2016.

June sees the start of my new contemporary Romantic Suspense series Knight Security, with the release of Defying Asher on June 30th. This book is now available for pre-order. The Knight Security series is a spin-off of the #1 bestselling Alpha series. A chance to meet old friends and make new ones!

As always, the stories in my Regency Unlaced, Alpha, and Knight Security series, are all romances with added suspense and danger. They are also more explicit in their language and sexual content than my other books. In other words, they’re hot!

(Regency Unlaced 4)

Pursued by the Viscount is the fourth story in USA Today bestselling author Carole Mortimer’s highly acclaimed Kindle Top100 Regency Unlaced Series.

Author’s Note: The stories in the Regency Unlaced, Alpha, and Knight Security series have stronger sexual content and language than my other books.

Lady Rachel Shaw had believed her unhappiness to be at an end once her husband died, but now she finds herself caught in the clutches of a cruel and relentless blackmailer. Totally at a loss as to who she can turn to for help, her friend the Countess of Winterbourne, advises Rachel to go to Lucien Brooke, Viscount Brooketon, a gentleman who was recently of assistance to Fliss and her husband.

Rachel doesn’t know Lucien Brooke personally, but she has seen him many times at one Society event or another, and knows him to be an aristocratic and handsome gentleman who has avoided every attempt by the beauties of the ton to be lured into matrimony. Gossip and reputation say the viscount as being a cold and arrogant gentleman who does not suffer fools gladly. And Rachel has been very foolish indeed.

Left with no other choice, Rachel finally decides to risk the viscount’s scorn and ask for his help.

Lucien Brooke, Viscount Brooketon cannot deny Lady Rachel Shaw’s beauty or desirability, but unfortunately she is also as flighty and flirtatious as his mother, a woman who has been embroiled in one scandal after another for most of his life. That being the case, Rachel Shaw is the type of woman whom Lucien has always avoided having any personal involvement.

Looks can be deceiving, however, and within minutes of Rachel calling at his home and explaining her current predicament, Lucien realizes he was wrong to have judged the lady without really knowing her, or her circumstances.

He now not only wants to help Rachel in her current predicament but he also wants her. In his arms. In his bed.

Persuading Rachel into accept any of those things from him is going to be a battle Lucien has every intention of winning.

Defying Asher
(Knight Security 1)
This is the 2nd story in USA Today bestselling author Carole Mortimer’s new contemporary series Knight Security, a spin-off of the “wildly successful”, and bestselling Top100, Alpha Series. You first met Lissa and Asher in the novella “Alexandre (Knight Security 0.5)” featured in the Royals & Rogues anthology. “Defying Asher (Knight Security 1)” is their story.

Author’s Note: The stories in the Knight Security, Alpha, and Regency Unlaced series have stronger sexual content and language than my other books.

A year ago Lissa spent the night with a man she’d only just met. Not her usual behaviour, but she dared any woman to resist the forceful and predatory Asher Knight. It had been a night of intense and unforgettable pleasure.

The regret came the following morning, and Lissa had walked out on Asher, vowing never to see him again.

But fate has other ideas, and a year later Asher is the only man Lissa trusts to help her.
Asher had never expected to see Lissa Forsythe again, let alone be in need of his protection. He had never forgotten the night they spent together. Or the way Lissa walked out on him the following morning without explanation.

Will the two of them be able to put the past behind them? Or will the intensely passionate night they spent together, and the way they parted, forever remain a painful shadow between them?

When the people Lissa loves start to die, Asher knows he has no choice but to offer her his protection.

But who is going to protect him from the desire that rages out of control every time the two of them are together?

This book is also available on Kobo, iBooks, and Smashwords.
