Christmas is a time of year...

With: Julie Rowe

Christmas is a time of year to show your love to friends and family members. A time of year to give gifts and renew friendships. A time of year to look back, rejoice in good decisions and make new ones for the new year.

One decision I’ve made for 2016 is to be more vocal in my support for active duty and veteran soldiers. People who’ve offered to serve in the greatest way possible. Many of them give everything they are, including their lives, to protect all of us from those who would attack us. Often, soldiers who make it home spend years healing from wounds no one can see. There are many ways to offer support to our soldiers, past and present, I’ve chosen to support a very special charity – Quilts of Valour. I hope you’ll join me.

Quilts of Valour is an organization providing soldiers with a creative and long-lasting symbol of gratitude: a handmade quilt. “Our mission is to ensure that our injured Canadian Forces members are recognized for their service and commitment to our country. We give this support through the presentation of quilts to comfort our past and present Canadian Forces members in their time of need.”

There are Quilts of Valour organizations in:
United States:
All my proceeds from the Men of Action boxed set will go to Quilts of Valour Canada. Two of the stories are set during the Christmas season and all the stories have heroes who are suffering from the unseen wounds caused by war and tragedy.
