Congratulations to "Karen C.", the winner in this giveaway. Thank you to all who participated.
There's no doubt that you have seen countless RWA updates by now. Over the past few days my Romantic Suspense radar has been in overdrive!! I was fortunate enough to meet up with a host of talented RS authors, many of whom are frequent guests of JUST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE.
Inevitably, the topic of conversation revolved around the fate of the Romantic Suspense genre. "It's on its way out. It's on its way back in." You need to take Dramamine before engaging in this seesaw debate. :)
Please stop by and give your input on the Romantic Suspense genre. Do you love it? Can you get enough of it? I have a signed copy of UNDER FIRE from Beth Cornelison for one lucky commenter.

I love romantic suspense. It means you get a HEA but all sorts of thrills along the way. I love the hold your breath action and/or suspense. When done right, it is the perfect book. trishleroy49 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and great authors.. Romantic suspense has ended up being my favorite of the genre's after many years of reading all kinds. And even with the label of romantic suspense the books could be different from serial killers, to human trafficking to terrorist that it never gets boring.

Thanks for sharing the photos. Everyone looks fab!
ReplyDeleteI love romantic suspense. I want every book you listed

Romantic Suspense is one of my favorite genres and we have almost all of the last authors listed's books.. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! (BTW, I really want Nora's jacket, though I'm not sure I can rock leather quite that well :D). RS has been on its purported deathbed for as long as I've been reading it. It's my favourite literary genre (I read loads of regular thrillers as well but keep finding myself let down by the lack of romance!), so I'm really glad that, though it may have been 'down' at times, it's never really been 'out'. And now I'm going to go add those 4 books above I haven't already read to my TBR queue :)

Thanks for sharing photos, Maureen! I love these types of photos - to see authors hanging out together. Glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLove romantic suspense. It is my number #1 favorite genre. Thanks for the giveaway and the photos are awesome.

Love romantic suspense... enjoy the touch of danger... following the clues along with the characters to find out what is going on... the HEAs. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pics!
OMG Romantic Suspense can not be on its way out!! I love the genre.
ReplyDeleteIt has a mixture of everything great about reading.
Keep writing RS authors please!
Great Photos x

I am all of 28 years old, so consider me the "young crowd" and romantic suspense better not be going anywhere anytime soon. I love it. I live for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd why are you so adorable? And did you fan-girl out when you sat next to Nora Roberts?

Rumors of the demise of RS are unfounded! There are too many of us that love this genre.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pics from the conference.
People are forever saying romantic suspense is on its way out. But (thank goodness), it never goes out. I would say that right now there's less out there than I've seen in the past (which I notice because it's primarily what I read and I often can't find anything I haven't already read!) but it's not gone, and romance tends to be cyclical so I am sure it will swing back up.
ReplyDeleteI think RS got hurt by the whole paranormal genre. A lot of folks who like to read thriller-type stories started reading PNR. I don't enjoy those books, though, and wish there was more traditional RS out there.
Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I love RS it is one of my favorite genres. So fun and exciting to read.
ReplyDeleteLike the genre

I've been hooked on Romantic Suspense since reading Mary Stewart many years ago.

Thank you so much for backing me up! Let them all hem and haw about Romantic Suspense, but it will never go anywhere. We will not allow it! :)
ReplyDeleteAs far as fan-girling out on Nora Roberts...I fan-girled on all the Romantic Suspense authors. My face is still stuck in an ear-to-ear grin. :)
So much fun!! Loved all the photographs thank you.

WOW!!! What a fun event! And all of the "superstars" of RS :) I love romantic suspense. My first was by Elizabeth Lowell and I've never been the same since :) Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss you??
ReplyDeleteI know! I was looking for you, but you and I were both 'late to the party'. We were probably both running around like mad women!
DeleteGreat pictures, Maureen! Thanks for sharing! It was so great to see you!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to see you Maureen. Whirlwind week and I barely recognized you. Our picture's up with my Harlequin arty pics !!
