JUST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE - BIRTHDAY BASH!



Congratulations to "Tammy J." and "Jo", the winners of the JRS Birthday Bash. Thank you to all for your wonderful birthday wishes and participation!

 Today I am stepping out from behind the curtain to say THANK YOU to everyone who takes a moment out of their day to drop by JUST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE. Whether you are an avid reader looking to feast on the daily wisdom and gracious giveaways that the authors share with us...or whether you are one of those beautiful and talented authors...I am happy you found your way here. A year goes by quickly, and now it's time to celebrate JUST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE's first birthday!

 It makes me weepy-eyed when I see comments flash by such as, "This is a new author for me, but their book sounds good and I want to try them out."  The goal of JRS is to connect readers with authors in their favorite genre, and a comment like that means we were successful!

 Now, what is a birthday without presents?  JRS will be awarding 2 random winners our assorted collection of goodies. Simply tell us what your favorite birthday activity is.  Cake? Dinner out? Presents? Those fancy-colored paper napkins you're afraid to wipe your mouth with?

  3. Happy Birthday JRS! I look to your site daily for updates on my favorite authors and introductions to new authors to add to my ever growing list of must read authors!

    With respect to my birthday, my favorite part is chocolate cake with vanilla frosting that has those huge roses. Two reasons for the cake, it is chocolate and the frosting is kid frosting, almost too sweet!

    But hey, it is only once a year unless I like I luck out and a friend has the same weakness!

  5. Happy Birthday, JRS! I love this blog and read it everyday (have it in my google reader so I can read it from my phone easily). I have been introduced to so many awesome authors because of it and am very appreciative for that. Thanks for all you do for us!

    For me, my favorite part of a birthday is just feeling like you are the most special person for the whole day. Everyone HAS to be nice to you because it is your birthday. :)

    When I had a family to celebrate with (I've lost my parents and brother) we would gather at my parents house and eat the yummy chocolate/cherry cake my mother would make and sit around reminising about past birthdays.

    My favorite activity on my birthday is to sit on the couch and read or watch TV while my husband and children are in the kitchen fixing me an awesome meal..... (well, sometimes it's awesome)

  10. My favorite thing about birthdays is hearing the words "I love you grandma!" from my three grandsons as they hand me homemade birthday cards and give me a big hug.

  12. I love this website! I try to stop by as often as I can and have read MANY wonderful books by the authors featured here. Congratulations on your 1 year!

    I never had much of a bday tradition growing up. My parents were VERY frugal and we never ate out. In fact my mom told me McDonalds was a bank. But we now try to make birthdays special for our 4 kids. Birthdays mean the birthday boy or girl gets to pick what we have and where we have dinner. Sometimes with the little kids it is at McDonalds. The older kids pick Outback or Texas Roadhouse. On my birthday we end up at Cold Stone Creamery and have ice cream for dinner!

  25. Happy, happy birthday! I'm fairly new to JRS ...gratefully guided here by an author. May you have many more birthday bashes!!

    My best birthday is being given a bookstore gift card, being taken to the store by Hubby and him not saying "just get some books already. We've been here forever" (30 minutes lol). Then we pick up all my favorite snacks and head home. He then leaves to eat supper out and visit friends. That leaves me at home with my new books and treats... no cooking, cleaning or loud tv. The next night we celebrate with family, cake and all the trimmings. So my birthday lasts for two amazing days!
