SPOTLIGHT on Harper Collins/Avon Publishing

Congratulations to our winners. In order, ChrisBails, Marika, Maureen, and Sandra G! Thank you for your participation in the giveaway.

Avon has been publishing award-winning books since 1941. It is recognized for having pioneered the historical romance category and continues to bring the best of commercial literature to the broadest possible audience.
Now Avon publishes the best and brightest stars of today and tomorrow in contemporary, historical, and paranormal; in print and eBooks. They’re all Avon Books and that means romance. And we bring the top talent every month.

Romance readers know what's hot...in books, in technology, in trends. Among the first to embrace books digitally, they have encouraged publishers to push the envelope editorially, exploring new subgenres and new formats. With the evolved reader in mind, Avon is introducing a digital imprint, Avon Impulse. This format will allow Avon to publish more quickly, with an eye to what's new in fiction and romance, delivering fresh, exciting content directly each month to the digital devices of today's savviest readers.

Several of the talented Romantic Suspense authors from Avon reside here on JUST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE. Let me introduce you to these beautiful ladies.
Lena Diaz - Lena is a romantic suspense author. Her debut novel, He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not, was released in 2011. Her newest novel, Simon Says Die, has a March 27th, 2012 release date. Having won the Daphne du Maurier and TARA awards, Lena has also been a finalist in the RWA Golden Heart® contest and the Beacon.
Gennita Low -  I'm a published author. I write sexy techno spy-fi. I'm also a roofer and know 600 different ways to kill with roofing tools. Read about spy agencies whose deadly operatives kill and love with passion and humor.

JB Lynn - A lifelong resident of New Jersey (something she hopes you won’t hold against her), JB Lynn doesn’t care if the cup is half full or empty; all she cares about is whether it’s regular or decaf! She writes with a parrot on her shoulder, two dogs at her feet, and a patient husband in the next room.

Lisa Marie Rice - Lisa Marie Rice is eternally 30 years old and will never age. She is tall and willowy and beautiful. Men drop at her feet like ripe pears. She has won every major book prize in the world. She is a black belt with advanced degrees in archaeology, nuclear physics, and Tibetan literature. She is a concert pianist. Did I mention her Nobel Prize? Of course, Lisa Marie Rice is a virtual woman and exists only at the keyboard when writing erotic romance. She disappears when the monitor winks off.

Jaime Rush - Since I was a kid, I devoured books on unexplained mysteries and psychic phenomena. I knew I would be published, marry a fabulous guy, and win a Toyota Supra. Missing the romance, drama, and action of my favorite television shows, X-Files, Roswell, and Highlander, I created my own mix in the Offspring series (HarperCollins). A PERFECT DARKNESS (RT Book Reviews Reviewer's Choice Award Winner) kicked off my paranormal romantic suspense series.

Carla Swafford - Carla Swafford lives in Alabama and is married to her high school sweetheart. A third generation storyteller, she loves every shade of romance and the many paths taken to find that special someone.

Stop by and say hi to these authors and the wonderful team at Harper Collins/Avon. This is an opportunity to thank them for their wonderful support of the Romantic Suspense genre. We will select 4 lucky winners from the comments! The books will be awarded in the sequence the winners were drawn.

Book formats are at author's discretion.

  1. RS is my favourite genre, so thanks to everyone (authors & publishers alike) who keeps it alive even though you always hear that this year sounds the death knell for romantic suspense! You help keep me sane when nothing works in lab, and away from actually reading science papers *shudder* :P.

  5. Hi, everyone! Thanks for coming by. Romantic suspense has softened in the past few years, but like any subgenre, it will be back! Who can resist the pulse-pounding thrillers and danger that could happen to any of us!?! Only 4 out of my 24 books have been romance only. I have to have that danger as well as the romance.

Harper Collins/Avon is a fabulous publisher with a slate of wonderful authors. :)
