  1. I would have been terrified. My one experience in mexico was noteworthy only because of the driving. No one stops at the stop signs. It was like driving in bumper cars. Everyone tried to be the first one thru the intersection. I had my eyes closed most of the trip. Love your books. Thanks for the giveaway.

  2. I have loved your Romantic Suspense for as long as you have been writing them and this was one of my favorites. Would love to read again. Do you have any Audible books as I have started listening to a few books and always find them entertaining.
    Thanks and keep writing. :)

  3. Crap! I would have been scared too. My husband and I like to travel within the United States by motorcycle and this is a good reason why. lol. I love your stories Kat. Thanks for getting them down on paper.

  4. Okay, that would have had me petrified.

Love your cover for Hot Rain, btw- talk about hot!

  5. Hi Kat,

I was born in Santa Barbara and also went to UCSB! Mexico trips can be scary. The border guards have no sense of humor at all. My scariest Mexico trip was when we went camping in Rosarita Beach. There is no trash pick up and people just throw their trash outside. We knew to lock all of our food in the cars at night except my stupid ex-husband brought food in our tent The next morning our tent had holes that the rats chewed through it to get his food and there were rats everywhere. I hate rats!!!! We never camped there again.

Your book sound great and I would love to win it!

  6. I'm sure I would have passed out if I had had that kind of experience. I've never taken a trip overnight that wasn't with family, and I've never been to Mexico. I just finished one of your audiobooks (Against the Wind)and loved it! Thanks for the giveaway.

  7. Wow! Great comments, really interesting. Loved the story of the camping trip on the beach with the rats! OMG! that may end up in one of my books! In fact I have one in mind already! Maria asked about Audio books...All of my Against books are or will be available through audible. Hi, to Tammy, fellow Alumi from UCSB! I winter in Ventura these days, not to far from S.B. still gorgeous weather. kat

  8. I am a long time fan of yours. I am going to Mexico in May. Praying for a safe trip. Thanks for the giveaway.

  9. That reminds me of my first trip overseas, with an interesting conversation with a gentleman in Vancouver, until I realised the coke he referred to wasn't a drink. It sounds very stressful, very exciting, just the thing to get the adrenalin pumping. Good luck with your re-release!

  10. Shelly-- have a great time in Mexico--and no border problems!

Shannon--great story. seems like travel is always stressful, but also very exciting. Hope you like Hot Rain! kat

  11. Gee...not like the guys at the border haven't seen that trick before! I would have died right there. Definitely would have thought twice before going anywhere with those guys again. Glad it turned out ok for you.
    Have an awesome 2012!
