  3. CJ - writing is definitely a good thing. And a heck of a lot better than cleaning toilets. Thanks for your comment.

  6. Janet - there are always things going on in my head! It's taking the time to listen that turns them into stories

Books4me - Thanks for stopping by. I suppose one advantage to starting writing when you're "mature" is that you won't likely outlive your ideas.

  9. Very curious about your writing after reading you thought process. I am really interested in reading When Danger Calls based on the first line of the description on Amazon."If someone asks single mother Frankie Castor to clear a room, she’ll smile and find a vacuum cleaner."

  10. Gayle - well, of course I hope you'll buy the book. It's only 99 cents at B&N, All Romance eBooks, Amazon & Smashwords, after all. :-)

You can read the entire first chapter at my website.

  12. Terry that makes good sense that if you know your characters the story will follow. I would love to win one of your books and think you show a great way to work with a story if you're stuck. Go back study my characters find out who they are. Perhaps I will try this at a later date with my NaNo characters. All I'm doing now is throwing them in strange circumstances to move things towards the 50K. I still have the one I completed in 2009 locked away somewhere.

  13. Deanna - you're entered. I hope you'll read some of my first chapters and get to know my characters.

Kathy - Good luck with NaNo. I've never been able to get into that one--always had some other "real" project requiring my attention during the timeframe.
